So, I just wandered over to eMusic only to find that the currently the #1 Album on their Power Charts is none other than the Photographs EP by Lakes. Go figure. So do yourself a favor today if you have not already downloaded it, and go do it. And if you have doubts, download the first track Indian Lover and let that run through your head a few times. I can't wait to get a full length album out of these guys. Hopefully this year.

You Should Be Listening

Todays forecast on the Eastern Seaboard...RAIN. My solution to your rainy day case of the Monday's is to take a listen to 2005's Oh You're So Silent Jens, by Jens Lekman. Jens' deep voice combined with his sweeping melodies are at first difficult to care for, but quickly get caught in your head. This album contains tracks that sound like they were recorded on a rainy day, but then comes back with songs that will bring the sun out from behind the clouds.
